A bipartisan group of senators spent the afternoon making “memes” in attempt to connect with the nation, though it’s unclear if their efforts worked.

Seeing the popularity of the new Bernie Sanders memes, both Republicans and Democrats came together to workshop making memes. This largely included glueing magazine cutouts to looseleaf paper.

“Did I do a meme?” Mitch McConnell was heard excitedly asking while holding a meme he draw. “Look, look. I meme’d.”

The Hamster struggled to talk to many of the excited senators, as many – such as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz – were in a rush to wash the finger paint off their hands.
